Twitter has received licenses to implement payments in three US states.

Twitter Payments LLC, a subsidiary of the media holding, has received a license to transfer means of payment in three US states. The information is confirmed by data from the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS).

The application was approved by regulators in Michigan, New Hampshire and Missouri. As a result, the platform is one step closer to realizing Elon Musk's global strategy to make Twitter "the app for everything."

Now the company has received the right to provide payment services, which makes its functionality similar to such services as, for example, PayPal.

Twitter filed a Money Servicing License (MSB) with FinCEN last November, right after Musk bought the holding. The billionaire later announced his plans to turn Twitter into "the app for everything."

Probably, Musk meant integration into the interface of the social network of payments, including in cryptocurrencies, which he himself spoke about more than once. In late January, it was reported that Twitter was already developing an embedded payment system and had started applying for the necessary licenses in the US.

The payment system of the social network will be fiat, but built in such a way as to later integrate cryptocurrencies into it. Judging by the history of Musk's statements, he really does not leave hope for the integration of cryptocurrencies into the interface of the social network.
